Yesterday, I ran an article asking for your help in compiling a ‘They Played for Both XI’.

In the article – they-played-for-both-forest-green-rovers – I explained that, despite extensive research I was struggling to compile an eleven, in fact I could only manage to uncover FIVE players that had worn the shirts of both clubs.

In asking for assistance, regular posters – Kenny Ames, Dave and Chris Murton – stepped forward to fill in the gaps, thereby allowing a complete starting XI to be compiled, with the XI turning out as thus:

Goalkeeper – Conrad Logan

Defender – Bryan Small

Defender – George Pilkington

Defender – Ryan Inniss

Defender – Alex Lawless

Midfielder – Jonathan Smith

Midfielder – Matthew Barnes-Horner

Midfielder – Ed Asafu-Adjaye

Forward – Jason Walker

Forward – Tommy Wright

Forward – Stuart Fleetwood

Manager – Rob Edwards

Some of those uncovered may only have spent loan spells at either, or both, clubs but, as they say, they all count.
