Liverpool and Celtic have had a bit of a connection over the last few years.

Brendan Rodgers has had two stints in charge of the Bhoys, with the connection between them and Liverpool now becoming more likely to continue.

Rodgers handed in his resignation to Celtic, which means that Martin O’Neill has been put in charge on an interim basis.

However, since the 73-year-old is only going to be in charge for a short period, Celtic are clearly going to be looking for a new permanent boss.

And, even though Rodgers’ resignation was only handed in a couple of days ago, some rumours have already started to emerge about who Celtic’s next manager could be.

Robbie Keane had an immense playing career, which even included a short stint at Liverpool when Rafa Benitez was manager.

However, the vast majority of his career was spent with Tottenham, and even though he was one of the best strikers of his generation, the same can’t be said for his time as a manager.
