Thomas Frank has singled out a senior Tottenham Hotspur man for praise following his side’s comfortable 3-0 win at Merseyside on Sunday.

Tottenham became the first team to beat Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Lilywhites delivering another solid performance away from home.

It means that Spurs maintain their brilliant away record, which remains the best in the Premier League so far, and move up to third place in the table.

It was a much-needed win on the back of the loss to Aston Villa and the draw away at Monaco, which led to many fans questioning Frank’s midfield selections.

It was Micky van de Ven who was the unlikely hero in front of goal, with the Dutchman heading home from two corner-kicks in either half.

However, it was his centre-back partner, Kevin Danso, who has filled in for the last three games in place of the injured Cristian Romero, who was singled out for praise by Frank.
