Nathan Trott joined Cardiff City on loan from Copenhagen in the summer.

His exit from the Danish club came after a disappointing second half of the season. The 26-year-old played every minute of the first 18 league games but was then benched.

The goalkeeper has been a regular in League One for Cardiff City, playing 11 times. He’s now spoken to TipsBladet about his move to Denmark, return to the UK and desire to improve.

Trott also expressed displeasure at how he was moved on by Copenhagen.

“I don’t want to feel too sorry for myself because I really enjoyed playing there. But the second half of the [last] season was tough. Especially the things that were said to me and the things I heard that were going on behind the scenes.”

The goalkeeper believes he was made a scapegoat at the Danish side last season. He was also informed of their desire to sell him back in January.

“As a player, you want your coach to be there for you, to support you and give you confidence. But when things didn’t go our way and things didn’t go well, I was used as the scapegoat.
