SAINTS are embracing vulnerability as a new-look squad looks to improve their on-field cohesion following a summer of change at Staplewood.

New boss Will Still added nine players to his squad in the summer window, and saw 14 depart, and has introduced new methods to his squad bond and build chemistry quickly

Players, new and old, are being asked to speak in front of the squad and chart their journey to now using pictures from their life and career.

Defender Nathan Wood feared he would be nervous, despite stellar on-pitch performances in front of thousands, but feels it has been a valuable activity.

"We've been doing these team meetings where, basically, everyone has to get up and speak a little bit about themselves," Wood told the Daily Echo.
