Southampton are reportedly among a number of clubs in England and Scotland that are considering a swoop for former Liverpool man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Southampton are reportedly interested in signing former player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.

The 31-year-old is the latest ex-Liverpool man to be targeted by the Saints following their supposed fondness of Bobby Clark.

Oxlade-Chamberlain endured an injury-riddled campaign for Besiktas last term, managing just 18 Turkish Super Lig appearances.

Since making the switch from Liverpool to the Black Eagles in 2023, the midfielder has featured in 50 competitive matches, scoring five goals.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is known in England for his stints at Arsenal and Liverpool, while also earning 35 senior caps for England.

Southampton to re-sign Oxlade-Chamberlain?

According to EFL Analysis, Southampton are keeping an eye on the situation of Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of the new season.

The 31-year-old's contract at Besiktas has been terminated, meaning that he is able to secure a free transfer back to England this summer.

As well as the Saints, it is understood that a host of other Championship clubs could swoop for Oxlade-Chamberlain, including Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Birmingham City, Coventry City and Stoke City.
