Trent Alexander-Arnold has given a hint that he's on track to be fit for a reunion with Liverpool in a stern warning to his former club. The England international waved goodbye to his childhood team this summer when he made a £10million move to Real Madrid. He was initially set to transfer to the Spanish capital on a free deal, as his contract with the Reds was due to end, but the La Liga titans ultimately paid Liverpool to release the defender from the final month of his contract so he could play in the Club World Cup.

So far, Alexander-Arnold has played 10 matches for Real Madrid, but his start in Spain has been somewhat mixed. He found himself alternating between being in and out of Xabi Alonso's starting line-up and only started two La Liga games before suffering a hamstring injury in the early moments of Real Madrid's win over Marseille in the Champions League in mid-September.

Having been sidelined for a month, Alexander-Arnold was initially doubtful for the upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool next month.
