Former Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli admits he is at "a dead end" over his career but is refusing to consider retirement. Balotelli has been a free agent since the summer having spent a season at Genoa, his 12th different club of a nomadic career.

The ex-Italy international striker, who is now 35, spent two years on the books at Liverpool, scoring only four goals in 28 appearances during the 2014/15 campaign before spending the next season on loan at AC Milan.

Balotelli made only six substitute appearances for Genoa having been used sparingly by Turkish side Adana Demirspor and Swiss outfit Sion in the previous two terms.

The forward turned down offers from several clubs outside of Italy this summer in the hope of staying in his home country and has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet.
