Craig Bellamy once attacked ex-Liverpool peer John Arne Riise with a golf club after he refused to sing at a team dinner.

Bellamy, who is currently managing the Welsh national side, enjoyed a stellar Premier League career for the likes of Newcastle United, Manchester City and Cardiff City. He also played a single season at Liverpool from 2006 to 2007.

It was under Rafa Benitez on Merseyside that the Wales boss, whose side play England on Thursday, became embroiled in an infamous ordeal involving Norwegian defender Riise. During a warm-weather training camp Bellamy came to blows with his team-mate, who has become renowned for receiving a scathing review from model Katie Price after an intimate evening.

Before Liverpool's 2007 Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona, manager Benitez took the Reds to Portugal as they prepared for a trip to the Camp Nou. The squad were all sat down for dinner, when Bellamy and Riise began a back and forth.
