Danny Murphy has claimed that Liverpool sorely miss Trent Alexander-Arnold as he took aim at Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley. The Reds' title challenge has hit the rocks following consecutive Premier League defeats.
After their agonising defeat at Chelsea, Real Madrid star Alexander-Arnold has found himself back in the spotlight as Liverpool's defensive weaknesses and wasteful finishing returned to plague them. Alexander-Arnold was the cornerstone of Liverpool's triumph and flair from out wide, but since his summer departure, it's been suggested his absence is being painfully felt.
Both Jamie Redknapp and Gary Lineker were in agreement about the 27-year-old, arguing that Arne Slot's team are diminished without him, which has affected Mohamed Salah's productivity. Dominik Szoboszlai has operated at full-back and demonstrated his calibre, covering for the unavailable Frimpong and Bradley.
Nevertheless, the right-back duo have suffered a dip in performance, hindering the Reds. Bradley was hauled off on Saturday after collecting a booking in the opening period following a clash with Marc Cucurella.
