Aston Villa plans have been praised for creating an ‘exuberant atmosphere’ in Rotterdam ahead of their clash with Feyenoord.

Oude Haven provide the praise today in a short piece detailing how they’ve made a ‘little piece of Birmingham’ during their stay in the city.

They say that hundreds of Aston Villa supporters have gathered at the terraces and cafes to warm up before the clash with Feyenoord tonight at 9pm.

Adorned with flags, scarves and singing loudly they have brought a cheerful, exuberant atmosphere to the historic heart of the city. Enjoying a beer and a view of the ‘White House’ the Aston Villa fans have created a lively football party.

Those passing by in Rotterdam have been watching ‘with smiles’ as the Villa contingent have turned Oude Haven into a little piece of Birmingham for the day.

It’s all very nice, and a further plus point for English fans, who have all travelled well and earned praise from across Europe over the last fortnight.
