Aston Villa's Jadon Sancho has been branded "irritating" for his performance against Bologna.

Sky Italia pundit Maurizio Compagnoni was speaking on Radio Marte during Forza Napoli Sempre when the winger came up for discussion.

Sancho was heavily linked with Napoli in the summer when it emerged he would be leaving Manchester United where his career has failed to take off.

Villa stepped in to sign the winger on a season-long loan and he has made just three appearances this season.

Napoli ended up signing Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven, but he has not been starting games for Antonio Conte which sparked a comparison between the two players.

And while Compagnoni recognises his ability, he was not overly enamoured with what he saw from Sancho in the Europa League win over Bologna.

“The Englishman is enormously talented, but for Aston Villa against Bologna he was irritating,” he said in quotes relayed by Sport Witness.
