Liverpool fans heading to Paris for the Reds' Champions League quarter final clash on Wednesday have been issued urgent travel advice, including areas of the French capital to avoid for their own safety.

Liverpool will take on Paris St-Germain at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of the quarter final, hoping to spark a difficult season into life. But fans travelling to the city are being warned about dangerous areas not to travel through or around.

The match will kick off at 9pm local time, which is 8pm GMT and turnstiles at the stadium will open three hours before kick-off. There will be a ticket checkpoint in place on the approach to the turnstiles, followed by body and bag searches. There will be a strong police presence around the stadium.
