Tottenham Hotspur may reignite their interest in a Premier League defender this summer, but they face heavy competition from Man United and more.

With major doubts over the futures of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven at Tottenham, one would expect the Lilywhites to start doing the groundwork on potential centre-back targets ahead of the summer.

It has emerged over recent weeks that Luka Vuskovic may also be tempted to leave Spurs for a bigger club this summer, amidst interest from the European elite.

An experienced centre-back, for whom Tottenham explored a move last summer, is back on the club’s wishlist, but they face plenty of competition.

The player in question is Nathan Collins, who Tottenham reportedly expressed an interest in ahead of the January window as well, and their interest in the player has not gone away.

This is according to TEAMtalk, who say that Spurs have monitored the Brentford star closely over recent months, sending scouts to track his development.

However, they are not the only ones to do so, with Chelsea and Liverpool also sending their scouts to the Gtech Community Stadium to watch Collins in action this season.
