The last time Queens Park Rangers took three points from Portsmouth, they would go on to lift the championship trophy just a few months later, with Pompey finishing that same season in 16th.

Fast-forward over a decade and QPR now find themselves 16th in the table, facing a relegation threatened Portsmouth side, who are fighting to keep their chin above the relegation places.

Historically, Rangers have marginally dominated the fixture. In 21 meetings QPR have won nine lost five and drawn seven. But after doing the double over QPR last season, Portsmouth will be looking to make it 10m points from the last four meetings with a win in this one.

Taking a closer look at the away side, it’s not been the easiest of seasons to endure from a Portsmouth perspective. Though i’m sure hopes coming into the season were under management, for me, this is a massive club, growing up I always saw Pompey as a team that should be in and around the Premier League.

In the grand scheme of things this must be a tough time as a fan, but staying up this season, considering they’ve been flirting with 22nd place...
