Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has always been quite vocal about his hate for Tottenham. You go back to that ever-viral ‘What do you think of Tottenham?’ chant that he pulled off on the FA Cup parade.

And he could not hide that amusement on his face when he was quizzed about the possibility of lining up against Tottenham Hotspur next season if the Lilywhites were to be relegated from the Premier League at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Wilshere is right now managing Luton Town, and he was speaking in a press conference when he was asked whether his “dream scenario” would be to guide the Hatters into the English second tier and potentially face Arsenal’s arch rivals Tottenham in the Championship in the 2026/27 season.

The 34-year-old admitted that the thought of facing Tottenham in the Championship had crossed his mind, but he went on to stress how the immediate focus on his plate remains on ensuring that he secures that promotion into the Championship with Luton.
