Kris Boyd expects Danny Rohl to spring a formation change as Rangers take on Celtic in the Scottish Premiership at Ibrox.

Andreas Skov Olsen has been starting in recent games since his January move, but Boyd believes he could be dropped for this game.

In his view, starting Mohamed Diomande will give Rohl’s side a better chance of winning the Old Firm derby.

The former Rangers forward believes that there is only one place up for grabs in the current eleven ahead of the game against Celtic.

In his view, the 4-2-2-2 system that Rohl has deployed may not be the best option on Sunday.

He sees Rohl reverting to a three-man midfield, potentially a 4-3-1-2, with Mikey Moore in the hole, and Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi leading the line.

Boyd backs Diomande’s previous performances against Celtic and believes he has what it takes to handle the pressure of such a big occasion.
