Tottenham Hotspur could look for a squad overhaul after another disastrous Premier League season. Igor Tudor must do his job of keeping the club away from the relegation zone, and simultaneously, the club chiefs should continue their planning for the summer transfer window.

Several Spurs players have already been linked with an exit. Cristian Romero’s future looks far from secure after a season marked by indiscipline, controversy and speculation about a summer departure, while Micky van de Ven continues to be coveted by some of Europe’s top clubs. Even if the North Londoners manage to beat the drop, it’d be difficult to convince Romero, Van de Ven and many players to stay at the club without European football next season.

Tottenham have to be realistic about their summer transfer business. It’d be tough to attract top-quality players, so investing in youth has to be the mantra.
