Beşiktaş had serious interest in Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır in the winter market.

Three days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that Beşiktaş had reached an agreement with Manchester United. The move never took shape because the Red Devils blocked his Old Trafford exit at the last-minute.

The Premier League side’s decision to stop the 27-year-old’s exit saw Beşiktaş sign Devis Vásquez on loan from AS Roma.

A day later, Sport Witness relayed Turkish claims of the Black Eagles maintaining contact with Bayındır.
