Tottenham Hotspur have been looking outwards as the chiefs at Hotspur Way go on a hunt for a new head coach after the Lilywhites recently relieved Thomas Frank of his duties. And by the looks of it, one possible early candidate has already drawn a line.

The North Londoners came out with a loss against Newcastle United on Tuesday in what was a 2-1 defeat which propelled Tottenham a step further into the relegation battle at 16th. And with the North London derby around the corner, it looks like Tottenham are working on an aggressive timeline, with Monday regarded as the due date to have a man in place on the touchline.

But in what comes as a blow to Tottenham, one who was a reported option now appears unlikely to take over the reins, at least in the short term.
