Chelsea forward Mayra Ramirez has suffered an injury setback ahead of her expected return to training.

Mayra Ramirez has not played a minute of competitive action for Chelsea during the 2025-26 season.

The Colombian striker suffered a hamstring injury during a pre-season friendly against AC Milan back in September.

This required her to undergo surgery, and she has been a miss for the Blues after scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions last season.

Ahead of Chelsea’s WSL clash with Tottenham on Sunday, head coach Sonia Bompastor revealed that Ramirez was expected to return to training in the last few days.

However, the 26-year-old will have a longer wait on her hands after suffering a calf injury during rehabilitation.
