Andy Robertson’s future has taken another twist, with fresh developments emerging after Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign the Liverpool full-back during the winter window.

Tottenham Hotspur could well have managed more than two signings in the winter transfer window had they secured the signature of Andy Robertson.

Spurs were in the race and were willing to pay a modest fee to bring Robertson to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Liverpool full-back was also keen on a move to north London; however, the deal ultimately broke down, and he remained at Anfield.

Joe Gomez’s injury and the Reds’ inability to recall Kostas Tsimikas meant they were short of options out wide, and as such, the Robertson move was halted.

According to TeamTalk, it is now understood that Liverpool is considering handing Andy Robertson a new contract to keep him at Anfield beyond the end of the season.
