Liverpool fans hopeful of seeing more from Kieran Morrison this season are set to be disappointed, according to journalist Paul Gorst.

Morrison has had a stellar season with the Reds’ U21s side, earning himself a first-team debut and a further appearance in the FA Cup.

However, speaking to The Redmen TV, Gorst claims he would be surprised if the 19-year-old featured much more for Liverpool before the summer.

With Mohamed Salah set to leave, a window of opportunity could arrive for Morrison, who, like the Egyptian, is a left-footed right winger.

But according to Gorst, while fans may get a closer look at the youngster during the summer, he is unlikely to get many further chances this term.

“I don’t see him playing too much between now and the end of the season if I’m honest,” he said. “I don’t think Arne Slot is in a position to be blooding too many young guns.”
