Mohamed Salah's stint at Liverpool is drawing to a close, but his next destination remains up in the air. Nevertheless, Saudi Pro League sides are reportedly ramping up their pursuit once more.

That's according to TEAMtalk, who claim renewed discussions have occurred in recent weeks, with Saudi officials said to be progressing with a deal framework that has essentially 'been in place since last year'. Liverpool had previously turned down an approach from Al-Ittihad during the 2023 transfer window.

The Saudi champions tabled a verbal bid worth approximately £150million to the Anfield bosses. Before penning his fresh contract at Anfield in 2025, Salah genuinely considered the prospect of departing Liverpool before eventually pledging his future to the club.

With an exit now confirmed, the report states that his agents have been given assurances he will have the liberty to select his favoured destination within the Pro League.

Al-Ittihad are reportedly spearheading the pursuit and have established themselves as the favourites to secure the Egyptian striker.
