Pat Nevin believes David Moyes will improve Tyrique George and he hopes the on-loan Chelsea player makes a permanent transfer to Everton. The Blues snapped up the Camden-born player on transfer deadline day of the winter window on Monday for the remainder of the season in a deal which gives them an option to buy him in the summer.

George, who subsequently celebrated his 20th birthday on Wednesday, has been with Chelsea since under-eights level and has made 37 appearances and scored six goals after first being included in the senior squad for their 6-0 win over Everton on April 15, 2024. Nevin, who played 150 games for Everton between 1988-92, scoring 21 goals after signing from Chelsea for £925,000, told NewBettingSites.uk: “My preference for Tyrique George would be a permanent move to Everton and it’s a difficult one for me, having feelings for both clubs.
