Tottenham had a very underwhelming winter transfer window, despite being linked to several players. Conor Gallagher was the only marquee addition, with left-back Souza viewed as a more project-based commodity.

Spurs explored the possibility of signing Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig last month. They weren’t the only club interested; several clubs from Europe were keen on the speedy winger, but RB Leipzig decided to keep him as they feel his price could go up following his performances in the second half of this campaign.
