Tottenham Hotspur have now been offered the chance to sign right-back Denzel Dumfries, but are set to face stiff competition from sides in the Premier League and Saudi Arabia.

Signing youngsters and offering them a pathway into the first team is very common in modern football.

In fact, for Tottenham Hotspur, it has worked to an extent, with the likes of Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray producing standout performances since their arrival in north London.

Bergvall was Spurs’ player of the season last term, while Gray is currently the standout performer for Tottenham this season.

That is according to TeamTalk, who report that Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries has been offered to Tottenham ahead of the next transfer window.

The 29-year-old full-back is available due to a modest release clause in his contract worth around £21 million, a figure that has alerted clubs across Europe.
