Cameron Archer looks set to become the transfer story of the day at Rangers.

Rangers are ready to sign Archer on loan, but the deal is currently rated as 50/50 with plenty of movement expected at St Mary’s.

Adam Armstrong is set to join Wolves on deadline day, which could complicate another striker exit from the Championship side.

Archer does want to make the move to Ibrox, with most of the details already in place to make it happen.

So far, it looks likely to be a straight loan should the striker move to Rangers.

The Daily Echo has reported that Southampton would like an obligation to buy included for Archer, who is not fancied by Tonda Eckert.

It is said that anything could happen with the £15million striker, in a deal that is likely to change consistently throughout the day.

Rangers are likely to pay a loan fee and cover the entirety of his wages should it happen, it is reported.
