Keith Jackson has urged Rangers to make one last attempt to sign Motherwell star Tawanda Maswanhise.

A striker has been towards the top of Rangers‘ transfer wishlist this winter, with question marks remaining over whether Danny Rohl‘s side has enough cutting edge at the top of the pitch.

Numerous players have been linked with a move to Ibrox, but ahead of Monday’s deadline, no new centre-forward has arrived to bolster the Gers’ squad.

Joel Piroe, Rayan Naderi, Kieron Bowie and Maswanhise have been just some of the names touted to Rangers this winter, as it remains to be seen whether Rohl can get his much-desired striker signing.

Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou has dismissed transfer talk surrounding Maswanhise in this window, and has remained confident he would be able to retain the services of his star striker.

The 23-year-old has fired home 13 times in 21 Premiership games so far this season, as well as chipping in with two assists.
