Cristian Romero took to social media after the Premier League match between Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur

Thomas Frank has made it clear that Cristian Romero will remain Tottenham's captain and not be fined despite calling out key figures at the club on social media.

The Argentine took out his frustration after Spurs' 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth in an Instagram post that took aim at those inside the club who he believes "tell a few lies", before later deleting those four words but still leaving a powerful message that was liked and replied to by a number of his team-mates.

"Apologies to all fans of you who follow us everywhere, who are always there and will continue to be," the 27-year-old had said to his 5.1 million followers. "We are responsible, there’s no doubt about that. I am the first. But we will keep facing up to it and trying to turn the situation around, for ourselves and for the club.
