NICK WALSH will be in charge of Celtic’s crucial Premiership encounter against Dundee United at Parkhead on Saturday.

Daniel McFarlane and Frank Connor will assist the match official from the touchlines while Andrew Dallas will supervise VAR, aided by Gavin Duncan.

The match will signal Martin O’Neill’s second comeback as the champions’ interim manager during three turbulent months at the champions.

The 73-year-old Irisman stepped up following the hasty exit of Brendan Rodgers in late October following back-to-back league losses against Dundee at Dens Park and Hearts at Tynecastle.

O’Neill’s first match back was a 4-0 win over Falkirk in the east end of Glasgow with Johnny Kenny (2), Benjamin Nygren and Sebastian Tounekti on the scoresheet.

The stand-in gaffer also delivered league successes over Kilmarnock (4-0), St Mirren (1-0), Hibs (2-1) and Dundee (1-0).

Now Jim Goodwin’s club, who beat Wilfried Nancy’s side 2-1 at Tannadice last month, are in the sights of O’Neill as he prepares to relaunch the champions’ quest for a fifth successive title.
