After years of trying to offload Jadon Sancho for a sizeable fee, Manchester United look unlikely to recoup anything.

The Englishman was part of the bomb squad in the summer that INEOS desperately tried to shift, and despite Aston Villa’s permanent offer, the 25-year-old refused to sign on the dotted lines and instead agreed a loan move.

That in turn impacted the Red Devils’ chances of securing Emiliano Martinez’s signature. And the loan stint has not gone according to plan.

The England international has not started a single Premier League game so far, and was even subbed off against Manchester City after coming on as a substitute in the first half.

Villa are unlikely to sign him permanently, and the 20-time English league champions have no intention of triggering his one-year option.

As a free agent, Jadon Sancho will not be short on options, with MLS and Saudi clubs circling. Now, Football Insider have claimed former club Borussia Dortmund are also keen.

This will be his third time back at the Signal Iduna Park, with Dortmund only interested if they do not have to pay a fee.
