Manchester United officials have travelled to Qatar to watch Loukman Tapsoba in the U17 World Cup.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Manchester United scouts are in Qatar to watch the rising star from Real du Faso. He is currently ‘shining’ for Burkina Faso’s U17 team.

The 15-year-old striker is attracting attention from several European clubs, the Red Devils among them. They are always on the lookout for young talent and are now closely monitoring Tapsoba’s performances.

His ‘technical maturity’ and ‘attacking vision’ have impressed those watching him since the start of the tournament. It’s not the first time he’s had interest from abroad.

Manchester United presence increases hype

Swedish side Hammarby expressed interest in buying him from Real du Faso this summer. That deal ultimately didn’t happen.

But now the presence of Manchester United’s representatives in Qatar is seen as confirmation of Tapsoba’s talent. He is considered one of the brightest prospects in Burkinabe football. The feeling is that if he continues on his current trajectory, a move will quickly follow.
