Liverpool star man Mohamed Salah is set to hold crucial talks with Egypt manager Hossam Hassan next week in a bid to avoid another club-versus-country row ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. Egypt are due to hold a training camp before facing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on December 6, Jordan on December 9 and Nigeria on December 14 as part of their build-up to the winter tournament.

According to WinWin, Egypt's manager Hassan has the power to call up Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush for these three matches. However, Liverpool, who have Premier League clashes against Leeds United and Brighton, as well as a Champions League game against Inter Milan that week, want Salah available for these games.

The Daily Mail claim that Salah would prefer to stay and play these competitive matches for Liverpool, before then leaving for duty with Egypt the following week.

Salah, 33, is expected to meet with Hassan during the November international break, with Egypt set to face Uzbekistan on November 14 and Algeria on November 17 in two friendlies.
