Florian Wirtz's market value has continued to rise despite his lack of goalscoring output since arriving at Liverpool. The Reds signed Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer window in a deal worth up to £116million with add-ons.

The move was, at the time, a club and potentially a British transfer record before Liverpool went on to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for £125million a few weeks later. Wirtz took the iconic No.7 shirt at Anfield, which was vacated following Luis Diaz's move to Bayern Munich.

Since signing for Liverpool, Wirtz has yet to score his first goal and has contributed three assists, two of which have come in the Champions League and has yet to do so in the Premier League. The German put in an impressive performance against Real Madrid in Europe in midweek, where he was utilised on the left wing.
