Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner has confirmed that contract talks with in-form striker Elisabeth Terland are underway, with the club keen on extending her stay.

Terland has done well at United

Since joining United in the summer of 2024 from Brighton and Hove Albion, Terland has consistently come up with the goods for the club in front of goal.

She plundered an impressive 10 goals in 20 WSL appearances last season, helping the Reds to a third-placed finish.

Terland has started the 2025/26 campaign in sublime fashion. The Norwegian has already netted nine goals across all competitions.

Ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Aston Villa, Skinner was asked about Terland’s future. Her current terms are set to expire in the summer.

Skinner told reporters that talks between Terland’s camp and United over a new contract have commenced.

Skinner said, “I believe they’re [contract talks] underway. I believe the club are putting together the plans and stuff to renew a few players as well.”

“So we’re looking at obviously retaining the quality that we’ve helped to produce, as well as those players taking the opportunity.”
