Manchester United's Under-21s beat Notts County 2-0 in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Shea Lacey and Jacob Devaney made sure of our first win in the competition this season, in what turned out to be a controlled display across the 90 minutes.

Goalkeeper Will Murdock was called into action on a few occasions, but Travis Binnion's side performed well against the League Two outfit.

Jacob Devaney scored a brilliant solo goal at Meadow Lane.

Murdock was called into action with 15 minutes on the clock, as Max Khouyar's bending effort had to be stopped by the 18-year-old as the action began.

Diego Leon was in the wars soon after, with Charlie Gill perhaps lucky to have only been shown a yellow card for a late tackle on the young Paraguayan.

Just prior to the half-hour mark, Lacey opened the scoring with a wonderful strike at the near post, after Chido Obi had set the Liverpudlian free over on the right.

Taking just a couple of touches before composing himself, Lacey tucked home past Harry Griffiths, much to the joy of the travelling United supporters...
