Police are following a 'positive line of enquiry' after a Rangers ultra, walking to Hampden for the semi-final, punched a man to the ground.

The incident happened on Victoria Road in Glasgow at around 12pm on Sunday, November 2, as the Union Bears made their way to the national stadium for the semi-final clash with rivals Celtic.

No information is available on the injuries the man sustained after being assaulted, the Record reports.

Footage circulating online shows the large crowd, dressed in all black, marching along the main road in the southside of the city as traffic builds up behind them.

The victim of the assault, also dressed in black, stands in front of them holding up one of his arms.

One of the individuals on the Union Bears march skips towards him with his fists clenched, before throwing a single punch at the man's face. He falls to the ground before another marcher stands over him and appears to taunt him.
