Tottenham Hotspur will have to move fast if they wish to sign one of their teenage targets, with Manchester United moving ahead of the Lilywhites in the race for the forward.

Spurs already boast of one of the best young Swedish talents in their ranks in the form of Lucas Bergvall, and they are allegedly looking to add another to their squad.

Tottenham reportedly explored a move for AIK Fotboll starlet Kevin Filling, who impressed in the lower division Swedish side Enkopings SK FK on loan earlier this year.

Since returning to his parent club, the 16-year-old has been getting regular game time and has already found the back of the net twice this season across seven games.

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has now revealed that it is Man United who are now advancing on a deal for the teenager.

He claims that the Red Devils are now holding ‘concrete negotiations’ over a deal for the Filling in the January transfer window.

The young centre-forward is reportedly available for just €3m (£2.6m) in the winter, with some German clubs also thought to be interested in the youngster.
