Manchester United are interested in signing Levante striker Etta Eyong, as per Mundo Deportivo (page 2).

The Red Devils strengthened their forward department last summer with the signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

Mbeumo and Sesko have made multiple goal contributions. Cunha recently netted his maiden goal during the 4-2 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

United may seek to add more quality to their attack next year, and Mundo Deportivo claim that the club are keen on landing Eyong’s signature.

Eyong has been outstanding for Levante since his summer switch from Villarreal. The Cameroonian is now keen on finding a new club in January.

The 22-year-old has already played for two teams in Villarreal and Levante. He cannot feature for a third club this term due to FIFA regulations.

Eyong is still prepared to join a new outfit when the transfer window reopens in January. He plans to return to Levante on loan until next summer.

Barcelona are also strongly interested, but they may find it difficult to sign him in January unless they return to the 1:1 spending rule set by La Liga.
