A midfielder whom Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is a big fan of may be on his way to Manchester United in January if the latest updates from Spain are to be believed.

Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware that several experienced number sixes have been mooted as targets for Tottenham ahead of the January transfer window.

This includes one England international whom the Spurs hierarchy are thought to be big fans of. It has been reported that Tottenham view Conor Gallagher as a perfect fit for Thomas Frank’s midfield.

However, over the last few days, an increasing number of reports have claimed that Man United are ready to challenge the Lilywhites for the former Chelsea man, and it appears that the Red Devils are not waiting around.

Fichajes have now claimed that Rubem Amorim’s men have prioritised strengthening their midfield in the upcoming transfer window.

Gallagher is the player who is thought to appeal most to the Manchester club, as he is seen as someone who would make an instant impact at Old Trafford.

In fact, it is alleged that United are ready to launch an offer of €60m (£53m) for the England man when the transfer window reopens.
