Dimitar Berbatov thinks that Florian Wirtz will come good for Liverpool soon.

The young German has had a hard time of it at Anfield since his arrival and, although he was one of the best number 10s in the world last season, he’s failed to reach those heights this time around.

Many expected his move to take the Reds to a whole new level, but even with players such as Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak around him, nothing seems to be working.

Of course, it’s bound to take time for Wirtz to get used to life as a Premier League player, but now that we’re a couple of months into the campaign, fans would’ve expected to have seen more progress by now.

Wirtz’s lack of form hasn’t, however, stopped Berbatov from lauding him and dubbing him an “unbelievable” player.

When playing for Bayer Leverkusen, it was clear that Wirtz had plenty of talent in his locker.

The young German was being linked with some of the biggest clubs in the world, such as Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but, in the end, Liverpool were the team he chose.
