Matty Cash has signed a new contract with Aston Villa.

The right back, who scored his second goal of the season in the 1-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday, has signed a new deal that will keep him at Villa Park until 2029 and extend his Villa career to nine years following his move from Nottingham Forest.

Since then Cash has made 193 appearances, scored 12 goals and provided a dozen assists, nailing down his spot on the right of Unai Emery's defence.

He has also won 22 caps for Poland and is currently established as first choice for both club and country.

Prior to joining Villa he spent time in the youth set-ups at Wycombe Wanderers and Forest, going on to play 141 times for the Reds. His previous contract was due to expire in 2027.
