Jamie Carragher has doubled down on his call for Arne Slot to take Mohamed Salah out of the team. The Egypt international has so far struggled to hit anywhere near the heights of last season.

Liverpool are looking to avoid a fifth defeat in a row when they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday night, and following the defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, Carragher made his feelings on the decision Slot has to make clear when it comes to Salah.

"I think we're at that stage now where Mo Salah shouldn't be a guaranteed starter every week," he told The Gary Neville Podcast. "I do think this is a real conundrum for the manager going forward."
