Roy Keane has dismissed the notion that Manchester United are "back" following Sunday's 2-1 triumph over Liverpool, although he conceded it was a "huge" result for Ruben Amorim and his team.

After a much-needed 2-0 victory against Sunderland prior to the international break, United hit the ground running and took an early lead at Anfield. Bryan Mbeumo put the Reds ahead within two minutes, sprinting behind the defence before blasting the ball past Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Liverpool managed to pull level in the second half courtesy of Cody Gakpo, but Amorim's men rallied and regained the lead late in the game. The decisive goal came from Harry Maguire, who nodded home a superb cross from Bruno Fernandes to secure United's second consecutive Premier League win.

When Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates questioned whether United were back on track after successive victories, Keane was quick to dismiss the idea. "I wouldn't go as far as to say Man United are back but it's a huge win for them," he stated.
