Milos Kerkez was labelled 'a nervous wreck' by Jamie Redknapp during Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United as the Hungary international's difficulties persisted on Sunday afternoon. The 21-year-old defender was one of Bournemouth's most reliable players last season, and his performances earned him a £45m summer switch to Anfield.

However, Kerkez has failed to replicate those showings in a Liverpool jersey. The Hungary international was a pale imitation of the player who impressed on the south coast last season when United inflicted a fourth consecutive loss on the Premier League champions.

United had a 1-0 lead at the break thanks to Bryan Mbeumo's strike inside the opening couple of minutes. Speaking on Sky Sports during half-time, Redknapp singled out Kerkez as he and Roy Keane assessed the opening period.

The former Liverpool midfielder said: "Kerkez is very nervous. He's like a nervous wreck out there. I feel for him. It's almost a bit too much for him. The game is happening a bit too fast and Diallo is causing him problems.
