Florian Wirtz is still finding his feet at Liverpool after a mixed stint on international duty with Germany. Arne Slot's team are set to face Manchester United on Sunday and Wirtz will be keen to demonstrate his abilities.

Wirtz made the move from Bayer Leverkusen in June, carrying a hefty reputation and an even larger price tag. A then-record British fee of £116million, including add-ons, was shelled out for the 22-year-old dynamic midfielder.

Following some satisfactory pre-season performances, Wirtz managed an assist in Liverpool's Community Shield defeat, but it has been a downward trajectory since then. He hasn't yet contributed to a goal in the Premier League and continues to face criticism for lacklustre performances.
