Liverpool will wear a special home strip for their game against Manchester United this weekend.

The Reds’ new Adidas kits have been especially popular this season, with supporters delighted to see a return of the German sportswear giant after 13 years away.

With Sunday’s game coming at Anfield, Liverpool are due to wear their traditional home colours, with United forced into a change strip.

However, there will be a little twist this time around; Liverpool will not be donning their usual Standard Chartered sponsor.

Once every year, the Reds partner with the finance company to promote a particular initiative on the front of their shirts. Most recently, that initiative has been ‘Futuremakers’ a programME designed to ’empower underserved young people around the world.’

But after six seasons, Liverpool have confirmed that they will have a new, one-off sponsor for Sunday’s enormous Premier League fixture.

‘Futuremakers’ often proved a good-luck charm for Liverpool. The Reds have usually worn the shirt in the biggest of matches at Anfield, and have come out the other end with a win more often than not.
