It is safe to say Florian Wirtz has not had the best start to life at Liverpool.

The 22-year-old German joined from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer for £116 million, with hype surrounding him as a young talent in the world of football.

However, he has not shown the fans just yet exactly what he can do, as in his first appearances for the club, he has struggled to influence the game as expected for a player of his quality.

It is difficult to come to the Premier League and adapt to a different style of play, especially at a club as important and big as Liverpool, so it is no wonder that Wirtz is not there just yet.

What has not helped so far is the immense media criticism of the player because of the price tag attached to him, which has continued even when he has shown glimpses of his best attributes in creating the big chances.
