Newcastle United's £69m man Nick Woltemade is the key to unlocking a lethal attacking line-up - just like Roberto Firmino did for Jurgen Klopp's title-winning Liverpool side.

That's the verdict of former Reds midfielder Don Hutchison, who has has been hugely impressed with the German's contribution for the Magpies in the first months of his time on Tyneside.

Woltemade has four goals for Newcastle already, having scored in his first three Premier League home games, and notched his first for the national side in Germany's 1-0 win over Northern Ireland on Monday night.

He has adapted to English game very quickly, and while he's a very different player to the man he replaced in the United line-up, Alexander Isak, Hutchison feels his link-up play will mean more goals for the likes of Anthony Gordon and Anthony Elanga, once they strike up a proper understanding.
